It will be sometime before I reach that wonderful stage of decorating and applying colours to the new house, however, even though the building hasn't started yet, I am mentally choosing gorgeous colour schemes in anticipation. I have box files full of cuttings to inspire me for both the interior and the garden. Farrow and Ball have a colour for everyone whether their taste is traditional, country or contemporary, I have used their paints numerous times and have never found anything to beat it.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend, we are having a drinks party here to say Hi to the rest of the village, so fingers crossed the sun will shine.

I can't believe it has been a week since I last posted, where has the time gone?! Sadly the weather has changed here in the South West, but I have still managed to get into the garden between showers to plant, weed, dig and enjoy.

I hope you all have a glorious weekend, here in Britain it is a Bank Holiday, so fingers crossed the sun will continue to shine and with you, wherever you are. I am off to the Badminton Horse trials on Sunday, for a wonderful day out and a delicious picnic.

Real Luxury.

What do you think of as a luxury? Cashmere, expensive holidays, designer labels?

 Yes all of the above, but recently I have been pondering on how easy it is to overlook the value of the simple things in life that cost little, are often free, and we sometimes take for granted.

 Here are some of my luxuries.

Happy, healthy children,

Freshly laundered bed linen.

A day in the garden,

Warm sunshine,

The smell and sound of the beach,

Freshly washed hair,

That first cup of coffee in the morning,

Time to be me,

A lie in,

A good book,

Friends that "get me",

To love and be loved,

A walk in the country with my dogs,

Creativity,

A sense of belonging,

Bluebell woods,
Birdsong,

Picnics,

Staying in my pyjamas for as long as I choose,

Laughter,
Kindness.
